School food is changing for the better....

Catering Services have been working to develop a new menu which offers students simple fresh food that they want to eat in a pleasant atmosphere.

There is a whole school focus on the lunchtime experience, which resulted from research carried out on the product, place, price and promotion of the lunchtime offer through consultation with students.  We have listened and are ready to offer students a new concept for their school lunch.

The Changes....

1.  Menu - this will include a range of home cooked quality dishes that students have tried and approved.  A deli bar will offer made to order sandwiches and salads to eat in or to go.

2.  Prices will reflect value for money.

3.  Customer focus - Friendly staff will listen to your needs and focus on customer expectations.

4.  Dining Environment - the dining hall has been decorated and new vibrant coloured tables and chairs have been purchased.

5.  Marketing and promotions will feature strongly throughout the school year.

Value for Money

In September 2009 a daily menu offering a choice of traditional, international and vegetarian dishes accompanied by salad or fresh vegetables was introduced.  The three week menu offers students simple fresh food that they want to eat.  The cost of a two course school lunch will be £1.60.  The menu also offers a selection of sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes, chilled drinks, cakes, biscuits and fruit.
